ZooMS analyses (Zooarchaeology by Mass Spectrometry) were conducted on bone fragments selected from the sites of Riparo Gaban, La Vela, and Isera la Torretta. The measurements were carried out at the Douka Lab of the Department of Evolutionary Anthropology of the University of Vienna under the supervision of Professor Katerina Douka. In addition to these analyses, some fragments were sampled for radiocarbon dating at Professor Tom Higham's 14C dating laboratory, to better contextualize the new data chronologically.
